First off, a bit of whimsy with my horoscope:
Daily Extended for July 21, 2009
Overview
A recent change in your diet is starting to create some changes in your physical body today, either in terms of your energy level (you’re starting to have more) or in terms of your body (you’re starting to have less). Keep up the good work, but don’t expect such dramatic changes to continue — plateaus are in your future, and you have to be prepared to persevere through them. You are treating yourself right and showing yourself the kind of care you usually reserve for others.

And it’s so true!! For me, getting healthy is not just about losing weight, it’s about making my outsides match my insides. I have worked hard on my emotional intelligence, so I feel great on the inside. I just want the super-healthy person I am on the inside to reflect on the outside.
Tuesday I went to my wonderful internist, Dr. M. What I love about her is that she always listens to me and is willing to try new things. She did blood work on me, which of course I won’t have results from for at least a week.
- Yesterday I went to my wonderful internist, Dr. M. What I love about her is that she always listens to me and is willing to try new things.
- She did blood work on me, which of course I won’t have results from for at least a week.
- I spoke to her about what Betty said. She said that an endocrinologist wouldn’t do much for me,but that she would go ahead and do tests on my cortisol levels and she prescribed thyroid medication just to see if it would help. My thyroid test results have been on the lower end of what is considered to be normal.
- I’m thankful that she is willing to do tests to rule things out.
- She also said that all pharmacies will go through your insurance and have you pay the higher copay on your meds unless you specifically tell them not to. So, my blood pressure meds should only cost me $4 vs. the $10 I’ve been paying.
