Hell yeah there was a workout today!! I met Ashley at the gym at 8 am this morning. Here is my new circuit training:
- 5 minute warm-up on treadmill ~ 2.0 to 2.2 mph.
- Alternating lunges on step (like the kind you can change the height on). ~ 15 reps.
- Alternating row with supinated grip. This is performed on a Functional Trainer ( see picture at right). Basically I grab both pulleys, hold one arm in tight while I do a row with the other. Then I switch arms. ~ 15 lbs, 20 reps each side.
- Cable chest press. Again, using the Functional Trainer with the handles, standing with one leg in front of the other, slightly bent, and pulling the handles/pulleys out in front of me. ~ 20 reps of 10 lbs each.
- Planks. This is where I hold my body like this:
This is for held for 20 seconds.
6. Pull throughs. This is using one side of the Functional Trainer, changing the handle to a bar, and using my shoulders to press down to my thighs. ~ 20 reps of 25 lbs.
7. Wood chops, low to high. Basically what you see in the picture below. I kind of thinking of it as throwing away, lol. ~ 15 reps of 10 lbs on each side.
It’s tough, but I made it through two rounds in 40 minutes. She wants me to do three rounds at a time. I told her I would think about it.
After that was over, I came home and collapsed for a bit. Then it was time to meet that Andrea chick for coffee/tea at one of our favorite places, Sugar, Inc. I had one cupcake there, a Pumpkin Spice. Sooooo good. I also took a Strawberry Silk with me. And I had an iced Strawberry Fields tea while I was there. Nummy!

- Cholesterol (mg): 569/300 – hmmmmm.
- Sodium (mg): 1373/2400 – I’m so pretty!!
- Total Carbs (g): 138/130 – Woot woot!!
- Fiber (g): 24/35 – WTF??
- Sugar (g): 84/35 – Better than yesterday!
- Protein (g): 59/136 – Bad girl!!
- Vitamin A (%): 119/100
- Vitamin C (%): 59/100
- Calcium (%): 48/100
- Iron (%): 42/100
WW Points: 39/42
Today was much better than yesterday. BUT, I really needed more calories today since I had such a taxing workout. But in any case, with an 8.4 lb weight loss – I’m pretty happy!!
