Day 27: Your definition of the meaning of life

imageFor me, the meaning of life resides in time.  It is the one thing that you can never get back.  It never stops.

To give someone your time is the greatest gift you can possibly give.  And they will remember this beyond any other gift you give them, in the end.

No one ever looks back and says, gosh, that Louis Vuitton purse was the best gift I ever received.

I love stuff, don’t get me wrong.  I love to shop.  I love to buy things.  I like to have nice things.  But I don’t become attached to them.  I can easily let them go.

I guess the meaning of life for me is about making moments count.   And that can mean everything from filling your time up with wonderful adventures to stopping and smelling the roses lilacs.

What is your definition of the meaning of life?

My gut reaction is to say love — the kind of love that starts with yourself and expands and just gets bigger and bigger. I think you would call it *puffy love.* ;)

Making moments count is such a good one. I think mine would have to be to love those around me as much as I am capable of loving. I'm a new reader. Loving your blog!

Making moments count is exactly right after all, that moment won't come again. The past is the past. Life is so much more than material things. It's all about love, nature, and physical fulfillment.

you are right. I love stuffs too but it is the moments that we spend with people which remain with me in memory. These moments are what we recall with a smile years down the line.

Family is the meaning of life for me. Family by genetics or marriage and family by choice and love. Being there for my family and them for me. And laughter. Because what is life without laughter!
