Blog Housekeeping

Or, what the heck is going on inside of her head?image

No, no worries, it is absolutely fine.  :D   I just have alllll of these ideas running around in my head and feel as though I need to catch them and write them down.

I have a lot of blog ideas.  I always have ideas about doing a post a week that showcases a date with my city, Columbus.  I have ideas about what my blogging schedule should be.  I think about having a theme for each day – like Sunday Link Love, Food for Thought Friday, blah blah blah.

And there is a ton of behind-the-scenes work that still needs to be done from when I transferred to my own domain.

Then there’s trying to figure out the best fitness options for my schedule, such as it is right now.  There’s trying to figure out the perfect food combinations.

So what decisions did I make?

Well, I know that beyond anything else, I should do what makes me happy, because I don’t want to ever feel pressured to blog or to workout or anything like that.  That takes the joy out of it.

And…

1.  I will only blog on Glow if I have more than just a food diary to post.  I don’t want to say, hey, I did nothing today but here’s what I ate.  I want to have something substantive to say as well.  And really, that’s something everyone should stick to – don’t feel as though you have to blog every single day to please ANYONE.  It’s really about putting your best content out there, not just filling up space.

2.  My weekends are usually pretty tame, as while I consider myself to be a homebody, I consider Bob to be a shut-in on the weekends. LOL.  And since I love spending time with my snugglebunny, I choose to stay home with him most of the time.  I might get out during the day for lunch with the girls or such, but most of the time, I’m home with him.  So there’s not a lot to blog about and I probably won’t blog much on the weekends.

3.  I may have some of the theme days like I mentioned above.  We’ll see.  :D

Okay my pretties. I’m off to do a post on Glow, because I did workout today!!  Woot woot!!

Catch you on the flip side!

    Setting priorities is key.
Blogs are simply journals made public and they should be fun. So as much as anyone would make journal entries should be how much they post to their blog. Besides, comments from other bloggers are fantastic but in the end it's posting references you, the blogger, can look back on.

I love blogging, but I actually enjoy not blogging on the weekends. Its nice to spend time with those that you love.

I'm needing to do some blog housekeeping as well. This last month has been pretty crazy, and it's time to get reorganized :)

Oh Angela – I really, really like this. SO TRUE! I often have felt pressure – which is silly because who cares? Noone else really….I guess I'm so desperate to get out of my job that it's my only escape at times…

But yes, I love the point about the content and just going with the flow is so important. Otherwise, it causes me so much anxiety. Not to mention, I 'm not even sure if I should continue, or take a break and start over because I feel my blog is full of stuff haunted by my stalker….
