I didn’t track my food this week on my spreadsheet. But I did really try to make some healthy decisions about what I was eating.
I only had to work Monday through Wednesday this week. I went out for lunch every day, but I chose salads to eat.
I do want to start taking my lunch to work. I hate spending so much money on eating out, plus I know that I can make healthier choices with what I bring in. The thing is, though, I suck at menu planning!
Would any of you like to share some recipes or ideas for easy but healthy lunches at work?
I didn’t get in any workouts this week. Because it was a short week, I just kind of told myself I needed to make it to Wednesday and then decide what to do. I was going to go to Yoga today but I had to get a new tire put on.
What happened you ask? I was on my way to my nail appt after work on Monday. There is a residential road that I take that has been set up as a “traffic calming” road. What this means is that there are bumped out curbs, staggered center medians, and roundabouts to stop people from speeding.
Here’s a picture of it:
Notice the roundabout, the bumped out curbs, etc.
Anyway, it was dark, I was distracted, and yes, I hit the edge of one of the medians. And completely blew out my drive side front tire. Like there were multiple holes in it.
I figured that I was only a half mile away from my appt, so I went ahead and drove to that. I called AAA from there and they changed the tire while I had my nails done. Good times.
Today Bob had a new tire put on. It took a few hours because they had to order it in. Happy Black Friday to all, LOL.
Finally, I received some great news today. I don’t have insurance right now, so I’ve been paying out of pocket for all of my meds. This isn’t a horrible deal, except for one of my pills that is over $1/day. I stopped to get a refill today and my lovely CVS Pharm Tech informed me that CVS has a drug program.
You pay $10/year and then any med that is on their list is only $10 for a 90 day supply. And guess what?!?! All of my pills, except for the new Cycloset, are on it!! Yay!!! Otherwise, I would have been paying $240 over 90 days for my most expensive pill.
Finally, I am definitely feeling better overall. Structure is my friend and even though this isn’t the job of my dreams, it is really helping my overall life. Yesterday I spent the day tearing apart my closet and dressers and paring down as much as possible…to make room for the new stuff I bought for work, of course! I am definitely in a nesting mode.
How was your week?
